Well, we're finally out of chilly winter and the temperature is slowing creeping up! Here at Take 40 we're marking this month by celebrating 30 days of music and entertainment as the countdown to summer begins!

Music festival season starts this week with the awesome Parklife festival kicking off, and we can look forward to many more summer parties as the days go on! Woo hoo!

How could we not include this fun loving song in our Top 10 Playlist! Gotta love Katy Perry rocking a orthodontic headgear in the video and busting out some serious moves on the d-floor! This track also held our top spot on the Take 40 chart for most of July. The perfect party starter!

S&M by Rihanna
For simple 'stick in your head factor,' this song has got to be up there. Ever caught yourself singing "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but chains and whips excite me," out loud? Awkward. Na Na Na Na Come ON!

Born This Way by Lady Gaga
Everyone's favourite Mummy Monster busted out with this epic tune a few months ago, and it hasn't left our charts since! This track also won the MTV Video Music Award for "Best Video with a Message," earlier this year. Watch her perform this number at our Monster Hall show in Sydney below! Epic!

Someone Like You by Adele
This beautiful song comes from Adele's album 21 and has received many accolades since its release. It has made our list because of 23 year old Adele's strong soulful voice its moving lyrics that have touched so many people. Unbeatable!

Grenade by Bruno Mars
"Grenade" is the second hit single from Bruno Mars' debut album 'Doo-Wops and Hooligans,' and cemented its place at the top of Take 40 chart very early into 2011. It's not often we hear about boys getting wounded in the romance stakes, but poor Bruno is very open about telling us how he gave this girl his love and she "tossed it in the trash." Aww!

Moves Like Jagger by Maroon Five Feat. Christina Aguilera
This track is toe tappingly brilliant and thankfully brings Ms Aguilera back to our ears after way too long! Moves Like Jagger has maintained the number 1 posi on the Take 40 chart for the best part of 6 weeks! Loving the vintage Stones footage also!

Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye Feat. Kimbra
A year ago nobody would have picked the usually indie Gotye would have broken into the pop charts, yet here he is- a surprise entry! And what an impression he made! After topping charts around the country, Gotye even had Katy Perry tweeting about his tunes! Featuring the fab singer Kimbra, this track has got to be one of the best break up songs ever!

Inescapable by Jessica Mauboy
Jess has come a long way since her days on Oz Idol! Now a true contender in the pop charts, Jess's amazing vocals and versatility as a performer has her on our top tracks list. This pumping tune has taken the Aussie clubs by storm, and for good reason!

Super Bass by Nicki Minaj
It was not so long ago that no-one knew who Nicki Minaj was. Now, between her bad-ass MC skills and her somewhat eccentric antics Ms Minaj is hot property!

Price Tag by Jessie J
Finally UK pop princess Jessie J rounds out our list with her debut track "Price Tag." This catchy song has a good message to boot, and is full of fun loving goodness! We love the sassy soulful Jessie J! Did you know she's coming to Australia in March?
